Built upon a Dream, a new charity organization modeled after the ABC Network’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” program, will match the Baltimore area’s leaders in the construction industry with non-profit organizations in need. The area’s foremost builders, architects, suppliers, and contractors, among others, will assist Built upon a Dream to make over their physical spaces and provide them with a more updated and modern area to work and grow. Many times, just having an adequate facility is what a small non-profit needs to have that extra boost. Reliable Contracting is proud to be a part of this great program and help serve the needs of the community.

Built Upon A Dream and The Summit School
The Summit School, a not-for-profit school based in Edgewater, Maryland, is home to many first through eighth grade students who struggle with language-based learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. The school strives to tailor each learning plan to meet the individual needs of every student. Because class sizes are so small (about one teacher to every four students) it’s possible for each student to participate in hands-on activities that make it easier for them to learn.
Through the Built upon a Dream program, The Summit School will be receiving upgrades to their auditorium, a new roof on the school house, a better irrigation system on school grounds, a re-paving job, and landscaping upgrades and a barrier around the driveway into the school to make it safer for carpools. Reliable Contracting has already agreed to donate funds, materials, labor and supplies towards making this happen.
