Available Positions
We are currently accepting applications for the following full-time, Monday-Friday positions. Weekly hours may vary, some night and weekend hours may be necessary, and applicants must be willing to commute to various areas around Central and Southern Maryland. All applicants are required to have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and their own transportation to work.
- Equipment Operators Utility Department —(Excavators, Track Loaders, Rubber Tire Loaders). Applicant must: a) have five (5) years experience; b) able to conduct safe excavation and installation procedures productively, and dig inside of trench box, and maintain safe trench at all times; c) able to operate or tend machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets, to excavate and load loose materials; d) able to carry grade, and install backfill in lifts, e) able to manage 5-7 crew members.
- Pipe Layers Utility Department—The Applicant must have a minimum of three (3) years prior work related experience as a pipe layer for wet utilities (Water, Storm Drains & Sewage Mains). The applicant must be able to set a laser, set transit, carry grade, use pipe saw, jumping tamper, walk-behind roller, read rule, and able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Punch-out Laborer Utility Department —Applicant must have three (3) years prior work related experience as a utility laborer. Applicant must be able to adjust utilities to grade for final paving, and must be able to perform test on water and sewer lines.
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic—White Plains location. The applicant must have three (3) years experience working on heavy excavating and earth moving equipment. The mechanic will be responsible for all aspects of repair, including but not limited to engine, computer, transmission, clutch, brakes, and more.
