Join Reliable as we participate in Walk the Walk!
This Thursday, May 12, Reliable Contracting will be participating in THE WALK at Waugh Chapel. THE WALK is a walk to support children in need, run by the Walk the Walk Foundation. We’ll be starting at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre at 6pm and walking until 8pm. If you’re not walking, you can participate in several kid’s activities, food, and music that will be taking place at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre starting at 5pm. Still want to help? What is Walk the Walk?
Walk the Walk Foundation, founded by David and Kimberly Mitchell, is a nonprofit organization that raises money to help local children in the Waugh Chapel area. Walk the Walk partners with volunteers, professionals, donors, and other nonprofits to benefit the local community. The goal of Walk the Walk is to encourage a cycle of giving and caring within the community. Walk the Walk conducts three main walks throughout the year: Walk of Christmas, Back to School, and the Diaper program.
Fundraising
To provide extra incentive and fun for walkers, Walk the Walk provides prizes for different levels of funds raised! Here are some of the prizes offered to walkers:
- Raise $50.00: Receive a t-shirt
- Raise $100.00: Receive a t-shirt and personally fill a backpack for a child during the event.
- Raise $250.00: Receive a t-shirt and a tote bag and personally fill a backpack for a child during the event.
- The person who raises the most funds will receive four tickets to a Baltimore Ravens 2016 regular season game of their choice!
If you’re not participating as a walker for this year, definitely get in touch with the Walk the Walk Foundation to participate either as an individual or company for the next walk!
