Earlier this month, the Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association held their 3rd Annual Safety Awards Banquet & Bull and Oyster Roast. The team from Reliable Contracting was honored to be in attendance with other members of the industry, who gathered to recognize the importance of workplace safety.

The event featured food, fun, and friends at Michael’s 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie. In addition to a menu of pit beef, oysters, and fried chicken, there were exciting giveaways ranging from gift cards and tool sets to golf bags and Orioles tickets!
The purpose of the MTBMA Safety Awards Banquet is to single out employees who go above and beyond to adhere to safety practices for the sake of their fellow workers and their company at large. Several high profile individuals spoke at the event, including DLLR Secretary of Labor, Licensing, & Regulation Kelly M. Schultz, ARTBA Vice President of Safety & Environmental Compliance Una Connolly, and NSSGA Vice President of Safety Services Joe Casper.
From Reliable Contracting, Ross Batts, Allen Garman, Billy Hope, David Smoot, and Tommy Wyatt were recognized for their own impressive efforts to maintain good safety practices in the workplace.
